FSU football: 3 observations through week two of 2021 fall camp

The hoopla earlier in the week was a bunch of nonsense with folks jumping to conclusions. I found it funny a lot of the rumors came from sites fans have to pay to read some of the content, and they just so happened to have a special going for fans to become members.
I knew all we had to do was wait until the second scrimmage on Sunday to see if there were any truth to the rumors.
Those rumors were put to bed the next day when McKenzie Milton had one of his best practices, almost like he wanted to prove a point to those spreading rumors.
Jordan Travis returned, and both players seem poised enough to lead the team in 2021. I still believe both players will see action in games.
The younger players looked like freshmen earlier in the week, and I thought it was a smart move by Mike Norvell to get them extra practice reps. As I said on the Built For Playmakers Podcast, FSU has two potential starts with an injury history, and I wouldn’t be surprised if either Chubba Purdy or Tate Rodemaker had to play at some point this season.
Purdy looks to have made some progress over the last couple of days and probably would see action before Rodemaker because of his ability to run.
It’ll be interesting to see if Jordan Travis or McKenzie Milton can outshine one or the other during their second scrimmage Sunday evening.
