First Scrimmage

The offensive line has been awful the past few years but showed improvement in 2020 despite no offseason. I know some want to credit Jordan Travis’s ability to run for most of the improvement.

There is some truth to that, but I saw improvement in the line and expect them to take another step forward in 2021.

We see the quarterbacks have some time to get throws downfield in the scrimmage video above.

I think we’ll see improvement on the defensive side of the trenches as well. We saw several tackles for a loss and a few turnovers forced during the scrimmage.

One thing I see is the intent to play with physicality. That’s one thing I am concerned about heading into the season.

Overall, it sounds like there’s a lot of spirited competition taking place at each practice. They have a certain pride to work and get better each day.
