Wide Receivers

The wide receiver unit was atrocious in 2020. I think back to the Louisville game where they looked like the Bad News Bears dropping wide-open passes.

Other times the wide receivers couldn’t get any type of separation from defensive backs or win 1-on-1 matchups.

I understand the wide receivers have not had the best quarterback play over the past few years. It’s not all on them, but this unit has to be drastically better if the offense is to have any success in 2021.

Teams haven’t feared FSU’s passing game over the past few years aside from Tamorrion Terry. I mentioned FSU coaches went to the transfer portal to find Kansas wide receiver, Andrew Parchment.

The hope is Parchment can produce similarly to Terry, and other players like Ontaria Wilson, Keyshawn Helton can step their games up.

There is some young talent on the roster like Bryan Robinson, Malik McClain, Jordan Young, and Kentron Poitier who could make an impact too.

ESPN’s David Hale ranked this unit as the worst in the ACC going into the 2021 season. Hopefully, these guys can begin to put it together and make FSU’s passing game respectable again.
