Pass Rush

The onus for the defense falling off like Big Mac toppings since 2018 is this unit. FSU football hasn’t had a legitimate pass rush since Brian Burns on the 2018 team.

The Noles didn’t have a single sack from the defensive end position in 2020. I mentioned the coaches going to the transfer portal to add Jermaine Johnson and Marcus Cushnie to help this unit in 2021.

Transfer Keir Thomas could help this unit as well.

The potential to improve this unit is there but we won’t know until they play games. What if these three guys are an improvement, but need to come off the field for a rest?

Which players will be the first to come off the bench as substitutes? How big is the gap between the starters and the subs?

This unit has to be better in 2021 if the Noles wish to make a bowl game.
