Team Mentality

This area is one of my biggest pet peeves since around the 2017-18 season. I know all FSU fans were spoiled after dominating teams for all those years.

A lot of those games were won before the Noles ever stepped on the field. The reputation of the program and players preceded them, and opposing teams knew what was coming when they put those pads on.

Nowadays, the same is true, with opposing teams know they will face a group of players that haven’t responded well to adversity over the past few years.

They know FSU players, in general, the last few years have been front runners, undisciplined and selfish. Opposing teams have not feared FSU for quite some time, and that needs to change in 2021.

Will that begin to change in 2021? Will FSU players have the mentality to attack opposing teams early and often? Will they have the attitude that they want to dominate from the opening snap?

What if a team takes their opening possession in for a touchdown? Will FSU football fold like a lawn chair, or will they fight back?

I want to see this team return to a group that wants to impose their will on their opponents. This team might be the one to begin to turn this facet around, or maybe not. However, something has to change with this program if they want to get back to elite status in the next few years.
