Parting Thoughts

Aside from the possibility of playing a highly-ranked team tough and the electric atmosphere, I think the other x-factor in using this game is having all of the top commits present.

FSU’s top three commits Travis Hunter Jr., Sam McCall, and AJ Duffy (all top 100 players) will be there. These guys have been recruiting a lot of the targets that will be at the game all year.

It’ll be another opportunity to take advantage of potential momentum on the recruiting trails.

A ton of other commits will be there too. One could look at it like Mike Norvell is putting all of his eggs in one basket, but it’s the best play for what’s at stake.

It also shows that he has confidence the program is going in the right direction based on what he learned in spring camp.

The Noles should be better at several positions, most importantly, at quarterback, and the offensive line should be better.

Mike Norvell will be going up against a defensive coordinator making his Power Five debut on the road (he was co-defensive coordinator at Purdue for one year).

Defensively, the Noles will face a team that’s breaking in several new faces in their first game on the road.

That’s a lot of things that favor the Noles and why I think it’s the perfect time to roll the dice with these recruiting targets.
