Why Notre Dame game is perfect gamble for FSU official recruiting visits

The Atmosphere
I’ve talked about it several times, but FSU fans are fickle and may or may not show up depending on how the season goes.
The Notre Dame game is the only one on the schedule where I’d guarantee the stadium will be at capacity.
Mike Norvell could wait until the Louisville game, but that game won’t have the same atmosphere at Notre Dame. Syracuse would be a good game because it’s likely the Noles will win fairly easily. However, players could have taken official visits to other schools before that.
I know Marvin Jones Jr. will attend the Miami game for his official visit, but that’s a special case. For the most part, the Miami game is too late in the year.
A night game at Doak Campbell Stadium is among the best atmospheres in college football. The team record will be 0-0, and the fans will be hyped beyond belief after tailgating all day.
I think any coach in Mike Norvell’s shoes would take the gamble when that type of atmosphere is available.
It will be the only college football game on TV that night and will likely get coverage from major news outlets.
The type of players visiting for Notre Dame wants to play in big games, and FSU/Notre Dame has some of the best storylines.
