FSU football: 3 defensive players to play attention to in 2021 fall camp
By Kelvin Hunt
Jammie Robinson
Another inconsistent position for the ‘Noles defense was at the safety position. The defense missed Hamsah Nasirildeen, and there was an improvement in the secondary when he returned for two games, even though he wasn’t near 100 percent healed from his injury.
Enter Jammie Robinson.
Aside from defensive end, Jammie Robinson could be one of the most valuable players on the FSU defense.
He’s a player Mike Norvell has mentioned by name since he arrived on campus in January. The South Carolina transfer was one of the better additions from the transfer portal and should provide leadership and physicality to a secondary that’s been lacking as a whole.
If he has a good fall camp, that’ll be another piece to the defensive puzzle for Adam Fuller, who has to show the FSU fan base progress in a hurry.
They are not going to give him the benefit of the entire season. If the FSU defense doesn’t show noticeable improvement in the first few games? Those murmurs of the collective breath of the fans will begin to get pretty loud.
A productive Jammie Robinson can help quell some of that.
