Offensive Line

Believe it or not, the offensive line almost missed the cut this year. I believe this unit will continue to improve, but there are still too many question marks to leave them off.

What will be the starting five? Devontay Love-Taylor said he’s 100 percent and ready to go for fall camp. We have Dillan Gibbons, Maurice Smith, Baveon Johnson, Brady Scott, Dontae Lucas, Darius Washington, and Robert Scott Jr. in the mix.

There there are others like Thomas Shrader, Zane Herring, and Lloyd Willis. Schrader would likely be in the mix had he not gotten injured.

Herrig is coming off of an injury last year and Willis continues to build and hone in on his craft after coming in as a project a couple of years ago.

The coaches would love to have a rotation of eight solid players, and it looks like they’ll be close to that number if the injury bug stays away.

Which combination is the best? That’s what I’ll be keeping my eyes and ears open for as fall camp takes place.
