Boston College

Boston College is the only team the Noles have beaten the last two times they matched up. The Noles squeezed out a one-point victory over a ranked Boston College team in 2018.

The 2019 matchup for the first game after Willie Taggart got fired and the Noles held on for a seven-point victory on the road.

However, Boston College has a new coach and experience returning at quarterback that has some folks optimistic after finishing 6-5 last year.

Several different scenarios that could play out this season. One would be the Noles getting off to a 3-1 or 4-0 start to the season, with several chances to win their sixth game to qualify for a bowl game.

Another scenario could be the Noles going life and death with several teams and needing a road victory over Boston College for that sixth victory to qualify for a bowl game.

Either way, it’s one of the coin flip games on the schedule the Noles will have a shot at winning, provided there are no major injuries at key positions before this game takes place.
