FSU football: 2023 QB commit Chris Parson shows off a cannon for an arm
By Kelvin Hunt
If you’re a regular reader of the site, you read my thoughts on 2023 FSU QB commit Chris Parson last week when he announced his commitment.
His commitment is already impacting the program, and that influence will increase as he gets more exposure.
The exposure part is something Parson seems to have a knack for doing already. He released some footage of him in action at a camp before his commitment to FSU that caught everyone’s attention.
The footage showed him throwing with touch and his arm strength down the field. However, he released a video Thursday night that has everyone in awe. Check it out below:
That throw was effortless. Of course, accuracy is one of the most valuable traits to have as a quarterback, and he found a way to fit that into the throw by hitting the right upright of the field goal post.
I know throwing the ball 75 yards doesn’t mean much without it happening in a game, but it shows Parson understands how the game works. He is in a position of influence and looks to build a 2023 recruiting class around him that will help the Noles return to greatness.
A video like this draws the attention of fans and other players, so they’ll at least be checking to see how he does in real football games this fall.
If he plays well? That gives him more credibility when it comes to player ranking and the ability to influence other great players to join him in the 2023 recruiting class.
I would encourage you to check out a recent interview he did on the Hear the Spear podcast. Parson is mature beyond his years and seems to be the type of guy you’d want representing your program as a quarterback.
