Defensive Line Neutral Compared To 2020

If you want to talk about disappointment, look no further than the FSU defensive line the past few years. They brought everyone back, full of talent, and became one of the biggest liabilities on the team.

They couldn’t stop the run or develop a pass rush, which left the linebackers and defensive backs out to dry.

The coaching staff has tried to address the lack of a pass rush with additions from the transfer portal in Jermaine Johnson and Marcus Cushnie.

Robert Cooper, Fabien Lovett, Briggs Jr., and Tru Thompson bring back some experience at defensive tackle. Some younger guys that could step up and produce at defensive tackle and defensive end.

There’s some talent and promise, but I can’t say this unit will be better than last year until I see it on the field. If they are worse, this team is in trouble.
