Notre Dame

No, this isn’t for shock value because there are legitimate reasons why this game is more winnable than others on the schedule.

One of the biggest reasons is Notre Dame only returns 55 percent of their overall production from last season.

They lost nine starters on offense, including quarterback Ian Book. They only return one starter on the offensive line and will have a new defensive coordinator.

The defense lost its best linebacker and two starting defensive ends. The secondary also has some question marks.

FSU played Notre Dame tough last year. It’s a home game, and the atmosphere will be electric, not to mention Mike Norvell and the staff will have had a lot of time to prepare for this game.

The same can be said for Notre Dame, but FSU returns 77 percent of its production from last season. A road game in the first game of the season for a team with a lot of new faces?

That’s a great recipe for an upset if I’ve ever seen one.
