FSU Football summer recruiting has fans feeling very optimistic for this upcoming season, so we look there at who on the current team can help FSU succeed. /

So far, this FSU football coaching staff has made it easy to forget that they lead a team that went 3-6. It seems as though every other week, Seminole fans are celebrating another commitment.

It makes it easy to explain away this team’s struggles. “Oh, it was a COVID year.” “They didn’t have any offseason conditioning.” So on and so on.

However, we can no longer look at the past. A new season is at the doorstep, and FSU needs to perform to maintain its current success in the recruiting landscape.

Now, what does performing mean to this young Seminole squad? Will it mean they improve to 6-6? Will it mean the infusion of talent and leadership from the transfer portal performs? Does it mean the entire team is finally healthy from start to finish?

Success to me will be a 2022 season devoid of excuses. This team has now had a more normal spring to customize their schemes, to cater to their talent, and notice holes in their depth to fill via the transfer portal.
