I couldn’t decide between all the transfers, returning players, injuries, and talented freshmen.

Meiko Dotson and Demorie Tate seem to be coming back from injury and are in a position to contribute heavily.

Dotson is looking to return to FBS leading interception form. Tate looks to contribute after injuries and academic issues sidelined him for his first season and spring.

Akeem Dent and Jarrian Jones are looking to perform at a higher level after their struggles from last year.

Dent could build upon a strong spring game performance where he did well in coverage after returning from injury. Jones played hurt and looked good this spring after getting healthy.

Jarvis Brownlee emerged late last season. He could see an expansion in his role this upcoming season.

But where will these returning pieces fit in with the new incoming talent? Kevin Knowles was someone who made a name for himself in the spring. Omarion Cooper and Hunter Washington are two incoming blue chips to add depth to the room and could push to start.

And I can’t forget the three defensive back transfers, Jammie Robinson, Jarques McClellion, and Brandon Moore. The trio joined the room in the winter and is also looking to contribute immediately.

I maintain that this is a great problem to have for a group that performed abysmally. If you are at FSU, you should expect to compete, especially in a room that is historically the best part of the Seminole Legacy.

From a numbers standpoint, the defensive issues should be fixed, and if not, you try a different combination until it is.
