Is recruiting momentum foreshadowing of better on field product in 2021?

Parting Thoughts
Recruiting is the lifeblood of a program, but achieving success in recruiting isn’t much different than success on the field.
Think about it. Most teams that recruit well feature coaches who are hungry and execute a plan. They are usually well organized and don’t make too many mistakes.
Take a look at Tennessee last season. They were killing it on the recruiting trail early and then fell off like Big Mac toppings as the season unraveled.
Not only that, they got sloppy and were not organized, which cost Jeremy Pruitt his job as head coach.
It’s all about planning and organizing, and Mike Norvell came to FSU with those attributes as his calling card. It makes sense, since we saw how he took Memphis to unprecedented heights before coming to the big leagues. We’ve seen the planning and organization work on the recruiting trails as the relationships have been built.
It’ll take some time to dig FSU football out of the hole it put itself in. As I’ve said, fit people don’t become obese overnight, and obese people can’t become fit in the same fashion.
It’s a process, and if the plan is sound and organized, the results will come on and off the field.
