Parting Thoughts

I’m not writing this to blow sunshine at FSU fans. The 2020 season is going to be tough, but I do believe we’ll see an improved product on the field.

Will that translate into 6-7 wins? It’s possible if they have good injury luck and a couple of bounces go their way.

However, more than anything, I want people to focus on the big picture, especially since FSU isn’t going to compete for a conference or national title in 2021.

I know it’s not the standard. However, the process FSU is going through is much like someone who was in great shape got lazy, and gained about 50 pounds.

They didn’t gain it overnight, and they won’t get back into shape overnight.

That means doing the work necessary to reach the standard again. I would liken laying the groundwork for future quarterback recruiting to the eating clean phase of getting back into shape.

If you eat clean, the process of getting back into shape can be sped up more than if you were only working out and doing cardio. It’s a process, and it looks like the coaches understand what needs to happen to be successful at the quarterback position.
