FSU football: 2022 linebacker Omar Graham Jr. commits to Noles
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU football coaches have done a great job of getting top talent to visit campus in June. The end of the nearly 16 month recruiting dead period saw recruits from multiple recruiting classes flock to Tallahassee.
One of those recruits was 2022 three-star linebacker Omar Graham Jr. who officially visited Tallahassee on June 11. Graham Jr. hails from South Florida and officially visited Miami the week before visiting FSU.
He had more official visits set for June but decided to cancel them after visiting FSU, and announced he would be announcing his commitment on June 20th. It was no secret he was going to commit to the Noles as he announced via his Instagram account Sunday evening.
Omar Graham Jr. is the No. 605 player overall and No. 64 linebacker. He checks in at 6’1″ and 205 pounds with 42 offers. He’s lists as a linebacker but plays off the edge for his high school team.
Graham Jr. is great coming downhill and incredibly smart, boasting a 4.2 GPA. He’s the second commit from South Florida for the Noles as they attempt to re-establish roots in that area.
Miami fans will claim he wasn’t a take, but they just paid for him to take an official visit a couple of weeks ago, so that’s not true.
They just got beat by FSU for a recruit in their backyard and don’t want to admit it. I mean, they only have three commits and sit at No. 68 in the national rankings. Miami needs all the help they can get.
Omar Graham is a solid addition and will likely be one of three linebackers to commit to the Noles.
This commitment should be one of the first dominoes to fall for the Noles over the next few weeks. Congrats to FSU linebackers coach Chris Marve for finally getting on the board with help from Ron Dugans.
