FSU football coaches have gotten tons of quality players on their campus in June. Can they land four-star athlete JaCorey Thomas?

The staff has offered over 300 players in the 2022 recruiting cycle, and it feels like they got almost all of them to visit campus this month.

The FSU coaching staff offered Thomas in November 2020, and it looks like they will battle several common foes for his commitment.

Thomas released his top five schools via his Twitter account Saturday afternoon:

Thomas checks in at the No. 318 player overall and No. 19 athlete. Thomas is the No. 38 player in the state of Florida and holds 30 offers.

He fields a ton of offers from other Power 5 programs besides the final five listed. He stands 6’1″ and 188 pounds, with FSU football holding 100 percent of the 247 Crystal Ball predictions.

Thomas camped at FSU on June 5 and will have visited every school in his top five before June is over. One interesting note is he will have visited Florida and Miami twice this month, using official visits for both.

The Gators and Bulldogs are two schools that have offered him within the last month. If he doesn’t get back to FSU or take an official, I have to think the Noles have other targets they like more on the defensive side of the ball.

They already have two five-star defensive commits in Travis Hunter and Sam McCall. They could be in the mix for one of two Arizona State commits who hail from South Florida.

Local four-star prospect Tre Donaldson or Louisiana’s Kendrick Law could factor in at some point as well. If I had to give a prediction right now, I’d say Thomas stays in-state and goes to Florida or Miami.

Thomas hasn’t provided a timetable on when he could commit, so we’ll have to see how this one shakes out.
