Coaching

I’m not saying he is elite, but I believe in Adam Fuller as a defensive coordinator. I was the first person to look up the SP+ stats from Memphis and Marshall before FSU hire him.

I pointed out at both places he had massive improvements in his first year. Those teams have considerably less talent than FSU, so I’d expect the improvements to be there considering the experience he has returning.

The success posted in year one at the other spots gives me confidence, not to mention he had to install his defense at two different places.

He’s not afraid to bring pressure, and that pressure was usually well-timed and executed when blitzing at Memphis and Marshall. I think we’ll see improvement in these areas in 2021 since the players have and will get practice reps this offseason.

The key to the defense will be the play of the defensive line. If the defense defends the run and gets pressure on the quarterback? That will fix a lot of issues from last year, and the defense should be much improved.
