Well, FSU football is in a great position with AJ Duffy committed. Duffy committed while Marchiol was committed, and Marchiol decided to begin looking elsewhere.

That tells me all I need to know about which player I’d want to lead my team. Marchiol was not a player that would have challenged for the job as a freshman, but that’s not the case with Duffy, especially if he can enroll in the spring.

FSU could still take two quarterbacks, but they don’t have to, with Jordan Travis, Tate Rodemaker, and Chubba Purdy having eligibility left after the 2021 season.

I don’t anticipate the coaching staff pursuing another quarterback unless someone comes out of nowhere and impresses them at a camp or something.

Duffy has been their No. 1 target the entire time.

The 2022 recruiting class drops from No. 10 to No. 12 nationally but still maintains the No. 1 spot in the ACC. The 2022 recruiting class consists of eight commitments at the moment.
