How much can McKenzie Milton improve before Notre Dame?

I know many fans are wondering how the FSU defense will perform after looking awful last season.

The defense will need to be improved, but the quarterback position will determine the success of FSU football in 2021.

The offensive line will be important as well, but better quarterback play can help cover up some of the issues the offensive line may have. Milton’s quick release and making pre-snap reads would be two traits of note that could be difference-makers.

Most notably, finding success on the first down and not getting behind the chains in obvious passing situations. A healthy McKenzie Milton that’s comfortable in the offense, likely is the best option for the Noles to win games in 2021.

I expect Jordan Travis to get snaps because he’s too dynamic to keep off the field. However, I’m curious how much ground Milton can make up by the time Notre Dame rolls into Tallahassee?

I have to believe he’ll be able to progress at a faster clip in fall camp if he’s been putting the work in since spring camp ended.

Milton came in with the reputation of a player that puts in the extra work to be great. It looks like nothing has changed on that end.
