FSU football fans are starving for help in the trenches since it’s been a need the past several recruiting cycles.

FSU has been in a good position with a couple of targets like Que’shon Sapp and Daughtry Richardson.

However, fans got some welcomed news when three-star offensive tackle Aliou Bah announced his commitment to the Noles Friday evening.

The news broke on Twitter after several 247 Crystal Ball Predictions came flying in the last couple of hours.

Bah hails from IMG Academy, which is also the home of FSU quarterback commit AJ Duffy. Bah is the No. 516 player overall, No. 49 offensive tackle, and No. 69 player in Florida.

Bah holds offers from 36 schools, and the Noles beat out Florida, Penn State, Oklahoma, Michigan State, Texas A&M, Texas, Alabama, Michigan, Missouri, Notre Dame, Kentucky, Purdue, Maryland, Ohio State, USC, and a host of other schools.

Bah checks in at 6’6″ and 325 pounds with another year of high school left.

It’s a great sign to see the Nole reel in an offensive lineman from a place like IMG. Alex Atkins continues to show he can recruit, and FSU offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham has done a great job of establishing relationships there as well.

Blue-chip wide receiver Malik McClain came from IMG in the 2021 recruiting cycle. Bah lists as a tackle which has been arguably the biggest need for the Noles the past few recruiting cycles.

This commitment could be impactful with more IMG Academy players, as FSU coaches are targeting more players in the 2023 and 2024 recruiting classes.

The addition of Bah gives FSU football nine commits and moves the Noles to No. 11 in the nation while keeping them in the No. 1 spot in the ACC.

The class is coming together nicely, but I need to see them have some success in the trenches on the defensive side of the ball soon.
