Something To Prove

That’s what Terry tweeted towards the end of the draft and it was clear he wasn’t going to hear his name in the draft. I don’t know Terry personally, but we have similar backgrounds. We’re both from rural parts of a state with little means.

We’ve seen Terry respond in a somewhat similar situation. Remember, Terry, redshirted his freshman year when many thought he would have been one of the most talented wide receivers on the team.

Willie Taggart noticed him at the 2017 bowl practice and questioned why he was redshirting. When Terry got his opportunity in 2018, he led the team in receiving touchdowns and tied for the team lead in receiving yardage.

Terry followed that up with an even better year in 2019. It seems going undrafted could have helped him find that chip on his shoulder again. After all, redshirting could have been similar to going undrafted in his mind.

I hope he finds success in the NFL, as he landed in one of the best situations possible.
