A player can make up some lost ground at their Pro Day when they indicate they played with an injury during the season.

I think most people understand an injury can affect play, but when you’ve had months to prepare for a Pro day and underperform?

I wrote at the time Marvin Wilson’s Pro Day underwhelmed big-time. Wilson would post videos working out, but they centered around running sprints or some type of agility drills.

One thing we hardly ever saw was him lifting weights, and it showed because the numbers reflected it.

Marvin Wilson only bench pressing 225 pounds 23 times with months to workout beforehand says a lot about some things. There are players much smaller who showed more power and explosiveness. This aspect showed in games because Wilson wasn’t effective at shedding blocks or creating havoc at the line of scrimmage against inferior competition.
