2021 NFL Draft: Predicting what round FSU players are selected
By Kelvin Hunt
Tamorrion Terry was a part of the final 2017 recruiting class with Jimbo Fisher. He was considered the No. 350 player overall, No. 52 wide receiver, and No. 34 player in Georgia.
Terry is a prime example of a talented player from a rural area that didn’t go to a lot of football camps that slipped under the radar.
Jimbo Fisher found him and his teammate, Ontaria Wilson, late in the recruiting cycle, and the rest is history. Terry is a player that outperformed his recruiting ranking while being incredibly productive on teams with terrible offenses.
The size and speed are what draw teams to Terry, with the ability to take the top off of a defense vertically. I was clowned on social media for pointing out he has nearly identical physical attributes as first-round selection Jerry Jeudy.
I wasn’t saying Terry was as good or better than Jeudy, just the fact his physical tools are first-round talents. The difference between Jeudy and Terry is numerous, as Terry isn’t nearly as polished on the number of routes he can run.
There’s also the mental side of things, and I’m not sure Terry has the best practice habits or is as coachable as you’d want him to be. He also has the propensity to drop passes at times.
However, the production at FSU despite poor QB play speaks for itself. Some team could take him anywhere from the fourth to the seventh round. I’m pinpoint it at the fifth round for my prediction.
