Marvin Wilson

Marvin Wilson was a part of the final 2017 recruiting class with Jimbo Fisher. He was considered the No. 6 player overall, No. 1 defensive tackle, and No. 1 player in Texas.

Unfortunately, he never lived up to those lofty rankings and probably lost a lot of money when he decided to come back for the 2020 season.

At the time, he was thought to be a first or early second-round selection after a productive 2019 season that was cut short due to an injury.

However, his 2020 season was lackluster and also ended early with an injury. Marvin Wilson’s Pro-Day wasn’t impressive and may have hurt his draft stock even more.

There are a lot of questions regarding Marvin Wilson. The off-the-field incident regarding calling out Mike Norvell has come up in his meetings with potential teams.

He has a history of injuries and seems limited in how he can impact a game at the next level. However, there were times where he looked unstoppable and was a force in the trenches.

The earliest I can see his name is called in the third round, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him slip into the fourth round either.
