FSU baseball: Noles can’t sleep on Stetson in mid-week action
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU baseball (20-15, 15-12 ACC) will host Stetson (22-14, 8-4 ASUN) in mid-week action Tuesday at 5 p.m. ET.
The Noles won their weekend series against Georgia Tech, but it was the second consecutive ACC series the Noles failed to sweep after winning the first two games.

Defensively, FSU has 41 errors in 35 games for a fielding percentage of .969.
Key To Victory
Stetson is a solid baseball team that does all the little things well. They are solid defensively and put the ball in play on offense, only striking out 23 percent of the time.
Their biggest weakness is their pitching staff that’s not overpowering but relies on their defense to make the routine plays. They are usually around the plate and don’t issue a ton of walks.
The Noles have been swinging the bats better the last few games, whereas the FSU bullpen and the defense have been shaky.
FSU pitchers have to avoid issuing walks and make Stetson batters earn what they get. The FSU defense has to make the routine plays, and the FSU batters must attack early in the count.
The Noles have lost too many games they should have won this year, and this is a game where that could happen if they aren’t focused on the task at hand. The game will air on the ACC Network Extra.
