FSU football: Importance of recruiting dead period ending June 1
By Kelvin Hunt
Parting Thoughts
In a way, the dead period gave the coaching staff a way to close the competition gap. It gave them a chance to get a head start on evaluating and offering future recruiting classes.
That aspect is one reason the coaching staff was able to get so many recruits on campus for the spring game over the weekend.
The staff has been able to continue developing those relationships over the dead period, but now we’ll see how well they can operate with no limitations.
The staff’s ability to accomplish what they did during the dead period shouldn’t be taken lightly, and the Noles have a ton of recruiting momentum at the moment.
I wouldn’t be surprised if FSU football already has recruits lined up scheduled to visit as soon as the dead period ends.
I’ve written about the importance of the Ryan Bartow hire, and I think we’ll see the impact of his connections relatively quickly once recruiting is live again.
If the dead period ends on June 1st, I think we’ll see what this FSU football staff can do without limitations.
