Jordan Travis Intermediate Passing

We know Jordan Travis is a dynamic athlete that looks like Houdini when he has to scramble out of the pocket.

However, the biggest question mark with Jordan Travis is the development of the intermediate passing game.

Despite limited practice reps due to injury last year, Travis does a good job making pre-snap reads.

He knows when it’s optimal to check to a screen or when to take a deep shot down-field. We saw it several times last season, but it’s the lack of an intermediate attack that limited the offense.

That facet of the offense will make things unpredictable and more efficient. A short to an intermediate passing game can help against teams stacking the box against the run, which wasn’t the case last year.

We know McKenzie Milton has had success in the intermediate game, but if Jordan Travis takes that next step, we’ll have a full-fledged quarterback battle on our hands’ folks.
