FSU football: Nole Spring game to air on ACC Network
By Kelvin Hunt
The excitement for FSU football is already growing with anticipation as there’s a lot of positive momentum with the program.
The announcement of spring game tickets going on sale Monday saw lots of fans posting on social media they secured those tickets to go in-person.
FSU didn’t specify how large a crowd could attend, but everyone in attendance would be required to wear a mask.
If you don’t feel comfortable being amongst thousands of fans wearing a mask, I have great news. The FSU spring game will be broadcast LIVE on the ACC Network, with the scrimmage beginning at 5 p.m. ET.
Of course, the 2020 spring game never took place due to the COVID-19 pandemic shutting everything down. It would have been nice to see how big of a crowd would have shown up for the game in Mike Norvell’s first year.
Willie Taggart drew over 50,000 fans in 2018 for his first spring game and a sizable crowd in year two. However, those were pre-pandemic times, and expectations were through the roof in the spring of 2018.
I don’t think expectations are quite that high, but there’s a growing optimism with the fan base, with more upper-tier recruits showing interest in FSU football.
The additions via the transfer portal have added to the excitement, and the enthusiasm of Mike Norvell will make you want to run through a wall.
With tickets going on sale roughly a month before the game, I’m not sure what type of crowd will show up. My hope is it’s a nice size crowd because it’ll provide a great atmosphere for any recruits that happen to visit that day, and it’ll be nice to see the local businesses receive a boost, which would help the local economy.
You can purchase your spring game tickets here if you haven’t already, or plan to watch it on the ACC Network! We’ll be providing our thoughts on Twitter in real-time!
