M.J. Walker

I think FSU basketball fans have a love/relationship with senior M.J. Walker, who’s seemingly disappeared in the last few games of the year.

Walker’s play has been consistent the last three games. He either shoots poorly or shoots well with a crazy amount of turnovers.

He’s shooting 40.8 percent from the floor, averaging 50 percent from the free-throw line, and 31.2 percent from three-point range.

Oh, and he’s had 16 turnovers. So he hasn’t been the offensive threat he needs to be while negating whatever offense he gives with multiple turnovers.

He has to be better in all facets of the game, and as a senior, that’s the expectation going into his final NCAA Tournament.

I know he was injured late in the season, and maybe that has been affecting his play? I don’t want to be too harsh and respect him for playing if he is hurt, but if you’re not healthy enough to play without being detrimental? It might be best to decrease his minutes and let someone else have a shot?

If he’s healthy and playing well, Walker adds offensive firepower that could help make the deep run all Nole fans want to see.
