FSU football will get its spring practice Tuesday as the second year of the Mike Norvell era is underway.

The players have endured strength and conditioning, weightlifting, and the Tour of Duty workouts the past couple of months.

That all came to a finale on Friday with certain players maxing out on squats, and a lot of them were throwing some crazy weight around.

This 2021 spring camp will be the most important one of Mike Norvell’s coaching career. He has an FSU roster that’s mostly turned over, and 15 practices to get a real taste of a Mike Norvell spring camp.

For those in garnet and gold, the start of spring couldn’t come soon enough after the last four disappointing seasons.

As bad as things have been, winning can cure it all rather swiftly. Heck, being competitive and not looking completely lost on the field would be a start against rivals like Miami and Florida.

I believe they would have been more competitive if they had a full spring last season. However, the pandemic crushed those plans, which means we’re really still in year one of the Mike Norvell era.
