FSU football coaches continue to evaluate recruiting prospects for the best fit for the program.

The Noles have sent out nearly 300 offers to 2022 prospects, but continue to unearth players they believe could be positive additions to the team.

The newest offer goes to a 2022 safety prospect from Mississippi by the name of Wesley Miller. He would be the 22nd safety prospect offered in the class.

Miller announced the offer via his Twitter account late Tuesday night:

Miller doesn’t have a composite ranking or any ranking I can find anywhere but has offers from Mississippi State and Ole Miss.

Miller checks in at 6’0 and 195 pounds. Ole Miss was the first to offer Miller, and he’s being recruited there by former FSU great Terrell Buckley, so that should ease those worried about him not having any stars.

Most recruiting sites are well behind in their rankings because they have not had a chance to evaluate most of these players over the last year due to the pandemic.

FSU defensive back coach Marcus Woodson extended the offer, and I think it’s safe to say he has a good eye for talent. I suppose some fans will ask why to go to Mississippi to offer a player when they could get a defensive back from Florida.

In looking at the rankings, there are not many highly-ranked safeties in the state, and FSU football has seven offers to in-state safeties, and five of them are blue-chip players.

I can’t find any verified times in terms of speed or agility, but Miller compares favorably to most of the other players offered in terms of size and length.

It’ll be interesting to see if more offers begin to pour in after the Noles.
