I was totally wrong when I thought the offensive line didn’t need a transfer. My process was we got Johnson and Love-Taylor back, and that’s the equivalent of two transfers.

Yeesh. This thought was about as poor as my anti-Miami tweets and my schedule prediction and draft position articles. We are only an injury or two away from Neal, Goss, and Scott starting along the offensive line.
Right now, that future looks bleak. Love-Taylor is currently rehabbing from a knee injury late last season, and Scott and Washington project as inside linemen despite their success from last season.
However, the young players along the line have drawn praise from Norvell. Herring has been singled out as someone who could have started had he not gotten hurt as well. Willis is someone who could make a huge jump after an offseason in the strength and conditioning program.
Again, these positions aren’t set in stone, and players can move to fill needs. Should Love-Taylor get healthy, he can fill in at either tackle position, and guards can move along the inside of the line to other positions should they need to.
This staff has mentioned they don’t see a starting five but would like a rotation of eight. But with injuries, injury recoveries, and overall youth, the problem will be finding the first five rather than the whole eight.
I know this position has grown exponentially in the past year under Alex Atkins, but there is still much that needs to improve. Finally, at least one more tackle must be found in the transfer portal.
