Several other freshmen who played many snaps in the 2020 season. Their play was a mixed bag, but there were some bright spots for the players listed below:

  • Stephen Dix Jr-Linebacker
  • Sidney Williams-Defensive Back

Dix played a ton of snaps and probably should have been placed ahead of Leonard Warner on the depth chart early. He had many plays where he made freshmen mistakes, but he gave great effort and should benefit from a full offseason to develop.

Sidney Williams was a player that joined the Noles late in the 2020 recruiting cycle. Most didn’t expect him to see the field in 2020, but he appeared in seven games and finished with 22 tackles and one pass breakup.

Here is a list of 2020 signees I expect to see more of in the 2021 season:

  • Demorie Tate-DB
  • Bryan Robinson-WR
  • Corey Wren-WR
  • Thomas Shrader-OL
  • DJ Lundy

If these players emerge, that would be a solid list of contributors from a transitional class.
