Amari Gainer

Amari Gainer enters his senior season looking to find an ideal position to utilize his talents best.

Gainer burst on the scene in 2019 after redshirting in 2018, finishing third on the team with 69 tackles and seven tackles for loss.

However, the 2020 season saw Gainer’s role decrease, although the production was still there.

He finished the season with 65 tackles, five tackles for loss, and half a sack in nine games.

The Noles may be moving to more of a Nickel defense in 2021. I don’t care what they run, but Amari Gainer needs to be on the field in some capacity and allowed to flourish.

FSU’s defense has been awful the last few years, but Gainer has been one of the lone bright spots along with Asante Samuel Jr.

Here’s to hoping Gainer solidifies a role and has the breakout season he needs to get the recognition deserves.
