Camren McDonald

McDonald is the lone Westcoast Nole left on the squad from the 2018 recruiting class. McDonald went into the 2020 season as the most experienced tight end on the roster, with only six receptions going into the season.

However, he made a lot of strides in terms of production and improved his blocking in the run game. McDonald will never be a bruising blocker, but he has an opportunity to be a bigger threat on the offensive side of the ball as a receiver.

He finished 2020 with 23 receptions for 263 yards and two touchdowns. That’s solid production from a player that only had six career receptions before 2020.

Can McDonald take the next step after getting a real offseason to get reps in Mike Norvell’s offense? What if the quarterback play improves? If so, Camren McDonald could be a bonafide weapon in 2021.
