Destyn Hill

FSU football hasn’t signed a wide receiver ranked higher than four-star Destyn Hill since the 2017 recruiting class.

I was hesitant to put Hill on this list because he’s not an early enrollee, but I think he’ll be on the field in 2021 before it’s all said and done.

His blend of speed and playmaking ability can be a threat despite not knowing all of the offense.

The Noles signing three wide receivers (two enrolling early), with a fourth (Andrew Parchment) committed for 2021 tells me they believe these guys will be competing for playing time as freshmen. It looks like 247 Sports agrees as they have Hill listed as one of their instant impact guys for 2021:

Hill doesn’t look like he’s running that fast on film but has been consistently timed at 4.3-4.4 seconds in the 40. FSU hasn’t had speed like that. Let’s say he runs a low 4.4 forty, and remember that Peter Warrick ran a 4.58 at the NFL Combine.

I’m not saying Hill will be anything close to what Warrick was while at FSU football, but he already has one elite element.
