Most Needed-Destyn Hill

I put Destyn Hill here for a couple of reasons. Hill was the highest-ranked receiver signed since DJ Matthews in 2017.

He fills a need at wide receiver with his speed and ability to make plays with the ball in his hands and should be a contributor as a freshman.

Hill was also the player FSU football targeted the longest in the recruiting cycle, who waited until National Signing Day to commit and sign.

It was all about perception. If Hill announced he was going elsewhere on Wednesday, it would have been a huge blow to the class and recruiting perception of the coaching staff.

Hill announcing he’ll be a Nole helped FSU football fans keep their faith in the staff and provided some momentum going into spring ball and future recruiting classes.
