Parting Thoughts

I think this was a recruiting battle Mike Norvell and staff needed to win. Hill is a player they were favored to sign for months, and some folks got antsy when he didn’t sign early in December.

His signing should reflect confidence in the staff’s ability to identify, evaluate, and recruit quality players.

No, I don’t think Hill signing means FSU football will develop a pipeline from Louisiana to Tallahassee. Does it mean they could find a quality player from that area here and there in the next couple of years?

Absolutely. However, I expect FSU to begin concentrating more on in-state skill players in future classes, but having Hill on the roster can’t hurt if there’s someone from Louisiana they feel they have a realistic shot at signing.

All in all, National Signing Day went as expected, and the Noles signed who they were favored to sign, and that’s a good thing.

It’s a good day when most of the class is already signed, and the staff can begin concentrating on 2022 and beyond.
