FSU football has struggled on the football field the last four seasons, but that hasn’t stopped Tallahassee from being the best city in Florida for college football.
No, I didn’t make that up out of thin air. It came from the experts at Wallethub.com as they compared over 240 US cities with at least one professional or college football team over 21 key metrics.
FSU football fans have long known Tallahassee was the cream of the crop when it came to the best of both worlds. A football program with great tradition
The results can be found in the chart below:

Tallahassee comes in at No. 37 overall which includes both the NFL and college metrics. Of course, Tallahassee doesn’t have an NFL team in the city with FSU being the only game in town when it comes to major college sports.
However, when you look at solely the college metrics, Tallahassee checks in at No. 7 overall, which is higher than both Miami and Gainesville.
Miami checks in at No. 11, but Gainesville is nearly off the charts, coming in at No. 153. I mean, we question why folks would want to go to Gainesville all the time, and this is further validation on why we should be asking that question.
I can understand Miami being ranked No. 11, after all, the university is in Miami(unlike the field they have to rent to play games). I’d imagine if that were taken into consideration, the Canes would be ranked much lower than No. 11.
Could you imagine were Tallahassee would have been ranked if the football team was anywhere close to where they were a few years ago? No worries, I think those days will be back on the horizon soon.
After all, FSU football is the last team in Florida to win a national championship(sorry UCF, yours doesn’t count and I only mention you because McKenzie Milton is on the FSU roster now).
Send this to all of your Canes and Gators fans as another reason why the Noles are superior!
