Fabien Lovett

The last article was more just freshmen, where Lovett is a redshirt sophomore. It still counts since he was a transfer added during the 2020 recruiting cycle.

As a true freshman in the SEC, he tallied 19 tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss.

Lovett didn’t have the same production once he arrived in Tallahassee, but he also played fewer games (8) and only started in two of those.

Despite the limited playing time, he was still one of the bright spots on defense when he was healthy.

His presence was imperative once Marvin Wilson and Cory Durden were no longer available due to injuries.

Lovett will likely start alongside Robert Cooper and should have ample opportunities to make himself a household name in a year that will find him draft-eligible afterward. If both can stay healthy, they’ll likely make a formidable duo in the ACC.
