FSU football is looking to finish strong with the 2021 recruiting class as National Signing Day nears. It has been a wild first season for the coaching staff.

They’ve had several players either enter the NFL Draft or the transfer portal, as we’ve seen the coaching staff use a unique strategy that seemed to confuse FSU football fans.

Some fans were caught up in the recruiting rankings, complaining the Noles didn’t have a top 20 class and a blue-chip ratio under 50 percent.

However, I’ve been pointing it out the staff was looking to compete in 2021 and not rely on freshmen in key spots.

That’s why the Noles only took 16 high school players while relying on the transfer portal for experienced players that won’t need as much development.

The good thing is the Noles have over 90 percent of the class completed, with a couple of key spots remaining.

They had a strong Early Signing Period by signing 15 of 16 commitments, with the lone commit  deciding to de-commit shortly afterward.

Despite going 3-6 in 2020, the Noles seem to have momentum on the recruiting trails. Let’s take a look at three thoughts as National Signing Day nears.
