Here are a few honorable mentions of young players that may leap forward in this next year.

Maurice Smith-Smith was a solid center and did well all season. He will be instrumental in how much this team and the offensive line will improve.

Bryan Robinson– Just like with Poitier, he will have more opportunities to impact the team with more targets. For most of his first year, he was restricted by injury but was always praised coming out of practice, so I have a good amount of confidence in his improvement. He is also 6’1″ 200lbs, so I feel confident betting on his size.

Corey Wren– Again, someone who wasn’t able to play due to injury but will carve himself a role because of his speed.

The players mentioned in this article were moderate contributors in their first season but flashed enough to become central elements of the offense.

Essentially, all of them played through a free redshirt year will be cornerstones in the program. Some will have to battle incoming transfers for the starting position but are in position groups where players in the two-deep can be impactful.

Also, in the typical football fashion, iron sharpens iron, and the competition will breed improvement. I see this young offensive nuclease becoming highly regarded and will be massive for recruiting.

After all, players like these guys made up 73.7% of FSU’s roster, so it can’t get any worse, right?
