Robert Scott

The 247sports True Freshman All-American made his presence felt in his short time at FSU.  He has only allowed a single sack and has become a building block along a drastically improving offensive line.

With Alex Atkins at the helm and Scott cemented at the right tackle position, the FSU run game has averaged 199.9 yards per game, it highest mark since 2016. The running back corp also averaged 5.11 yards per rush, and that statistic is at its highest since 2015.

These have resulted in top-25 rankings in both yards-per-game and yards-per-attempt, all per seminoles.com. Again, Scott, like Toafili and Purdy before him did not early enroll and this will be his first offseason conditioning program.

Scott was not an early-enrollee, which made his performance more impressive.
This offseason will be his first in college and will provide an opportunity to develop on and off the field.

Scott will be the biggest beneficiary of this extra preparation and will be an essential piece as this offensive line continues to improve. One of the best things for his development was keeping Devontae Love-Taylor and Baveon Johnson because it will allow him to stay at the right tackle spot and develop next to veterans.

This line has gone from one of the worst in FBS to a “OK”. If they can get to “decent” I see another big season for Scott and a seven or eight win bowl team.
