As the 2020 season and year come to a close, ChopChat contributor Cole Maines picks out FSU Football’s top 5 performers and standouts.

This season didn’t have too many bright spots. This year didn’t have too many bright spots. As both the equally dreadful year and season mercifully comes to a close, we are going to try to find bright spots on the field.

I wanted to specify “on the field” because I wanted to focus on the play. It would be too easy to wax poetic about the current roster churn, the improvement on the graphic design team, and this staff’s ability to identify needs and fill gaps in depth during this recruiting class.

Obviously, the program is riding high from a string of commitments from the transfer portal that will immediately improve the roster with more room to continue adding to the team.

But before we can look forward, we have to look back and see who performed the best for FSU football in 2020.
