FSU basketball will take on Central Florida Saturday night in the Tucker Center.

No. 15 FSU basketball (4-0, 1-0) is coming off their first ACC win and fourth consecutive win in their last outing against Georgia Tech.

The Noles have picked up where they left off in early 2020, with some familiar players and freshman phenom Scottie Barnes.

FSU will go into the game Saturday night against Central Florida as -14 point favorites, according to the Action Network.

The Noles should win and haven’t lost on their home court in forever, so I’m not going to bore you with breaking the game down too much. However, I want to talk about three things I want to see from the Noles in the game.

It’s early in the season, and Leonard Hamilton is working to find the best combination of players to put on the floor. Which sub-packages work the best, and which players have the best chemistry together.

Of course, FSU wants to win every game, but what’s most important is getting those rotations set so they can have everything in place to make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament.

What rotations Leonard Hamilton uses as he’s one of few coaches that will play nearly all of of the players.

Another thing is Scottie Barnes, continuing to develop and figuring out what he’s capable of in games. His confidence is growing, and the experience he gathers now will be invaluable later in the year.

I want to see FSU basketball play a complete game. They have started well, and they have started sluggishly in games. They have played well in spurts and gotten out to big leads while letting teams creep back into games.

This is a game they should win handily, and I’d like to see them build a lead and keep it there without any lapses in play that allow Central Florida to stay in the game.
