FSU football: Fans react to McKenzie Milton committing to Noles
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU football got a big-time offensive addition for the 2021 season.
FSU football has been lacking a proven playmaker at the quarterback position since Jamies Winston donned the garnet and gold.
Jordan Travis has assumed that role in 2020, but his ability to remain healthy has been a question regarding his future at the position.
The Noles only have three scholarship quarterbacks on the roster and Travis is the only one proven he can get it done albeit he’s limited as an intermediate passer.
Instead of taking a flyer on a high school project after the dec-ommitment of Luke Altmyer, Mike Norvell has decided to go the graduate transfer route to address the quarterback room.
Former UCF quarterback McKenzie Milton announced he’s going to play football at FSU in 2021 via his Twitter account Sunday afternoon:

Thoughts
This announcement is huge news, and one FSU football fans have been anticipating since Milton announced he was going to put his name in the transfer portal a week or so ago. It addresses some issues for the football program moving forward, with the only negative being he’s coming off of a devastating leg injury.
The good news is he’s been cleared by doctors and has been running the scout team offense for UCF this season, albeit he hasn’t been taking any contact at practice.
Milton completed 62 percent of his passes at UCF, throwing for 8,683 yards, with 72 touchdowns and 22 interceptions in 33 career games.
He also played in an offense similar to what Mike Norvell used and played against Mike Norvell teams when he was at Memphis.
The fact Norvell has seen Milton play in person and decided to pursue and land him as a graduate transfer tells you he’s confident Milton can help this program get back to where it’s supposed to be.
I’ll have more on the impact of this commitment later, but welcome to the Nole family McKenzie Milton.
