Parting Thoughts

There has been a lot of chatter on the social media networks regarding the coaching staff and their inability to make adjustments in the game.

Most notably, the Noles haven’t been able to put points on the board in the second half of games.

They equaled their first half output in the second half and likely could have put more points up if they had kept Jordan Travis in the game.

It was the first time the Noles had scored over 50 points against a FBS opponent since 2014. I’ll take that as progress, and they only had six penalties for 57 yards.

I know it was Duke and they are not a good football team, but you have to take the small wins when you can. The Noles will travel to Winston-Salem next week to take on Wake Forest with a noon kickoff.

Wake Forest is a better team than Duke, but is coming off a 45-21 loss agaisnt Louisville. They are much better than Duke offensively, but struggle to get stops on defense.

It’s sad to say, but they will be a good measuring stick for where this program is to close out the regular season.
